Reading Guide: Going Clutter Free

Looking for ways to cut clutter from your life? If you missed our Downsizing and Managing Clutter Program on January 17, 2018 with the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, have no fear: we’ve pulled together a list of books available at your library and through our digital lenders, OverDrive and Hoopla Digital (both free with your library card), that will help you go clutter-free!

While the “KonMari” method is the most well-known and has become a hugely popular trend – thanks to power-house organizer Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up (available in print at Pickerington, or as a streaming audiobook from Hoopla) – there are several guides available that offer decluttering tips. Take inspiration from magazines, authors, and even the experiences of fellow declutterers, below.

You can also access the library’s Consumer Reports subscription for articles, tips, and product recommendations on cutting the clutter: click here to log in to Consumer Reports with your library card number.

More books about home organization can be found in the library’s nonfiction print collection, under the call number 648.5 or the subject heading “Home cleaning” – for assistance in browsing our collection and catalog, ask a librarian for assistance!
