National Week of Making 2017

The National Week of Making is June 16-22, 2017, and this year, the Pickerington Public Library plans to be part of the MakerSpace action! We’re setting up a week of drop-in events so that you can test out Maker materials – no pressure, just stop by and see what all the fuss is for yourself (or ask a librarian how stuff works).

Makey Makey Monday: Monday, June 19, 2017

Have you heard of Little Bits: all-in-one electronics kits that give you hands-on experience in circuitry. Test them out yourselves!

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality: Wednesday, June 21, 2017

It wasn’t so long ago that Pokemon Go-mania had everyone in its grip. But there are other Augmented Reality Apps that can offer you a new perspective on the world: check them out in the Homework Help Center!

Video Game Friday: Minecraft Edition: Friday, June 23, 2017

Our popular program series returns for an encore presentation: drop in for Minecraft on our PS4, or use our special Raspberry Pi set-up to put yourself into a Minecraft world!

Learn more about the National Week of Making at their website.

And we have one more program with Makers in mind this summer: join us for COSI’s Coaster Creators, on Wednesday, July 26!
