Earn rewards for reading, visiting the library, and attending programs, plus entries for a chance to win one of 10 Grand Prizes—through Aug 1.

This year’s Summer Reading theme, Red, White & READ!, celebrates America’s 250th anniversary by inviting our community to explore literacy through the lens of our nation’s past, present, and future. Through discovery, innovation, and storytelling, Summer Reading highlights how libraries connect people to ideas, creativity, and one another. Summer Reading is open to everyone and offers programs and activities for all ages. It’s going to be a great summer!

Your summer of discovery starts here! From hands-on activities to engaging programs for all ages, our Red, White, and READ! theme brings a wide variety of experiences to explore all season long. With so much happening, there’s always something new to enjoy.

From the All-Ages Essay Contest and 10th Annual Comic Fest to Dinosaur Dimensions and Conductor Cody’s American Adventures magic show, Summer Reading has something for everyone—just to name a few.

Early literacy classes, author visits, movies, history and exploration and Summer Reading Children’s Book Sale —it’s going to be a great summer!

BIG SUMMER CELEBRATION

Aug. 1 | 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Pickerington Main Library

Wrap up an unforgettable summer with the Big Summer Celebration—an all-ages event packed with fun, discovery, and community spirit. Explore a hands-on petting zoo, climb aboard vehicles at Touch-a-Truck, and take on the inflatable obstacle course. Try your luck at the dunk tank, enjoy airbrush tattoos, and join in lively rounds of trivia and bingo throughout the event. Families can browse a variety of food trucks, get creative with crafts, and experience even more surprises along the way. Whether you participated in Summer Reading or just want to celebrate the season, this free event is the perfect way to come together and make lasting memories. Bring your friends, bring your family, and don’t miss this exciting send-off to summer at the library!

On Aug. 5, all library locations will be closed in the morning for an employee recognition event. We will open at 2:00 p.m.
