Free Comic Book Day 2018 - LogoWelcome to the official HQ for the Pickerington Comic Fest.  The 2018 show will mark our fifth year celebrating comics and pop culture.  Every year, we strive to expand and Pickerington Comic Fest Logocreate something special for the entire community, for pop culture fans of all ages!  Formerly known as the Big Comic Show, planning for the Pickerington Comic Fest is now in full swing.  Creators can register HERE.

In 2017, the show was a participating Free Comic Book Day site.  Be on the look out for more Free Comic Book Day fun in 2018!

10 a.m.-5 p.m.: Library Atrium

Meet local comic creators!

Superhero Fun Run with Jerry L. Garver YMCA

10:30 a.m.: Library Lawn

Four different age categories will be competing and racing outdoors! Dress in costume – if you wish – and get ready to run!

For ages 3-10

Pop Culture Trivia with Excesss Trivia

12-2 p.m.: Digital Classroom

How much do you know about comics, movies, books, and more? Compete against your fellow trivia buffs for the chance to win prizes!

For teens and adults

Face Painting with the Face Paint Crew

12-2 p.m.: Library Atrium

Meet the Batman and his Batmobile with Heroes 4 Higher

12-3 p.m.: Library Lawn

Creating Comic Characters

1 p.m.: Meeting Room

Create fun and goofy characters with illustrator Michael Laughead with the Columbus College of Art & Design!

Caricatures with Columbus Caricatures

Love Wonder Woman? The Dora Milaje? We’re ready to talk about our favorite women in comics with author Laura Bickle, artist Molly Durst, and Courtney Brown of the Ohioana Library!

Tabletop Gaming

2-3 p.m.: Digital Classroom

3-4 p.m.: Free test play time

Games for your meetups, games for all ages, games for two, and even games for when you’re flying solo! There’s a game for you, and today is your chance to test them!
