Bringing the Library to You

Library-On-The-Go

Access to information, inspiration, and community should never be limited by location. That’s why the library offers a variety of outreach services that bring the Library directly to you. Whether it’s your classroom, assisted living facility, or community event, Library On-The-Go delivers everything from library card signups and curated materials to fun crafts and engaging activities. Our flexible setup can range from a small table display to our full-service Library On-The-Go vehicle, all designed to connect you with the resources and services you love.

School Services

Through our Year-Round Pop-Up Libraries, the library brings books and services right to your school—indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather. We tailor our selections based on your classroom needs or themes, and have supported schools in hosting Book Tasting or Browsing events.

  • Summer School Visits: keep your students reading during break! We also offer summer reading signups.
  • Summer Food Program: we visit once a week to hand out free books
  • Teacher Library Cards: enjoy extended check-out times and two free lost books a year.
  • Student Library Cards: for your classroom, grade level, or for the whole school

All school visits are coordinated by teacher request and depend on library staff availability.

Assisted Living Facilities

Pickerington Public Library is committed to serving all ages in our community, including seniors in assisted living. Each month, we deliver bins of curated library materials directly to several local assisted living facilities, helping residents stay mentally active and connected to the world around them. Occasionally, we go a step further by hosting simple craft activities, encouraging creativity and social engagement.

Our delivery schedule includes visits to:

  • Fourth Monday of the month: Pickfair Square
  • Second Thursday of the month: Abbington
  • Second Tuesday of the month: Amber Park, Embassy of Pickerington, Grand Haven Commons, and Best Days Senior Living
  • Fourth Tuesday of the month: Amber Park, Storypoint, Redbud Commons, and Best Days Senior Living
