Archives Open House

This is a free program for all ages. Location: Meeting Room A and the Library Atrium.
Come help us celebrate an exciting new service for our library patrons, near and far: the Pickerington Public Library Archives.
You are cordially invited to attend the Open House for our library archives. It will be held Wednesday, September 20th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m... We will be sharing samples from our growing collection of local history materials and demonstrating our new archival scanning equipment. We will also be highlighting upcoming digitization projects with current partners, including the Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society and the Violet Township Fire Department.
Several local history and genealogy organizations — including the Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society, Ohio History Connection, the Ohio Glass Museum, the Fairfield Heritage Association, and Fairfield County Genealogy — will be setting up informational tables to share information about their programs and services as well.
Earlier that day, we will also be offering a learning session for one of the library’s most popular digital resources — Ancestry.com
