Pet Adoption Event

June 3, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join the Pickerington Public Library as we kick off summer reading with a community-wide event: a pet adoption day with two local agencies, the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter and Forgotten 4 Paws!

Dogs will be available for adoption, at a reduced adoption rate, on site that day, thanks to the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter.

You can also meet the kittens available to adopt with Forgotten 4-Paws: while there will not be on-site adoptions, you can pick up adoption applications, and talk with representatives about the cats waiting on their fur-ever homes!

All day, get pet-friendly information from these local organizations in the library’s Atrium:

From 12:30-1:40 p.m., join The Connection for a special session of Dog Tales with canine reading buddies: registration is now open!

From 1-1:30 p.m., learn all about dog training and working dogs with Unleashed 4-H Club!

From 1-3 p.m., drop in on fun crafts for all ages!

  • Button-making station
  • Clifford craft
  • Cat- and dog-ear headbands

… plus games and crafts with the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter and Forgotten 4 Paws!

From 12-2 p.m., have lunch at our visiting food truck:

Timmy’s Meltdown Food Truck

And at 2:30 p.m., stay for our special movie screening!

Mark your calendars and get ready to Build a Better World…for your new pet!

No registration is required for this program. Contact our Adult Services Department, at 614-837-4104, ext. 233, for additional information.
