Building Bridges with Erector Sets and Straws

March 9, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

This is a free program for tweens and teens, part of Teen Tech Week at your library!

The Tacoma Narrows, 1940. The Sunshine Skyway, 1980. Even the best constructed bridges can collapse. Do you have what it takes to build a bridge…and keep it standing? We’ll provide the materials, you provide the ingenuity. Two competitions will take place: a strength test using straws, and a distance test using our Erector set.

Held in the library’s Homework Help Center.

Registration is required. Sign up by calling the Adult Services Department at 614-837-4104, ext. 233.
