From garden to vase: How to grow and cut flowers for bouquets all summer long

This free program for adults is part of the library’s 2017 Self Reliance series. Registration is required (see below).

Presented by Moon Maiden Flowers, this talk would touch briefly on all the steps involved in your garden including: defining your vision, seed ordering, planning out your plots or garden space, preparing the beds, seeding, growth through the season (successive planting), peak harvesting time, and quick how to of arranging.

More about Sean and Tracey:

“It all started with a love of PLANTS! Plants brought us together. We moved our young family away from the hustle and bustle of the city and found peace in our little misty valley in Alexandria, Ohio. It was the perfect place to follow our dream and start a little flower farm.
We approach our work the way we approach our lives, inspired and with purpose, gentle and sustainable, and respectful of the people and environment around us. But really, we are just plain crazy about flowers! From starting seeds to cutting stems to tying twine around the perfect bouquet. It’s love from start to finish. We hope that you love our work too.”
