Water Bath Canning

Stocking up on fresh fruit and vegetables this summer? Learn how to make them last a little longer and develop a new homesteading skill at the same time, when OSU Extension Educator Shannon Carter shows you how to can and preserve your farmers market bounty!

Tuesday, July 25: Water Bath Canning:

This program is designed for people who want to learn more about basic home food preservation using the water bath canning method. This method is safe for acidic foods such as fruits and tomatoes. Participants will learn how to use a water bath canner to preserve, safely, the bounty of fresh produce all year long. Program includes demonstrated techniques, handouts and discussion.
