December 8, 2017 is Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day. It was originally started in 2007 and it’s a day for would-be “time travelers” to have fun by dressing up and acting like they are from another time period. As a time traveler, you need to stay in costume the entire day and not let anyone know that you are a time traveler. You can pretend to be from an utopian future, a dystopian future, or the past:
- If you are dressing from an utopian future, talk in slang from past decades, or smile and shake your head at smart phone technology.
- For a dystopian future, you can place a barcode on your neck or stare at newspaper headlines and look astonished.
- Dressing from the past allows you to be amazed by every technological advancement and you can fixate on one thing such as an elevator and watch it working the entire day.
Don’t forget to stay in character and have fun!
