How do you participate?

  • Starting Wednesday, June 1, register in person or online for our teen program or our adult program
  • Pick one a copy of our SRP reading records at the library’s Adult Services Desk
  • Read or listen to 5 books for your first prize
    • Or attend a library program: 1 program is equal to 1 book, so the more programs you attend, the more books you earn!
    • Attend the Pickerington Teen Book Fest: when you bring back your PTBF program booklet as proof of attendance, you will automatically earn 5 books!
    • See all library Summer Reading programs here
  • Record your books or programs on your entry form, and return it to the library to claim your first prize.
  • Continue reading, listening, and attending! When you hit the 10 book mark, you earn a second prize.
  • For each additional 5 books you read, or 5 programs you attend (15 books or more), you will be entered to win our our grand prize drawing.
  • Saturday, August 6, is the last day to turn in your reading records!

What prizes can you earn?

  • After reading five (5) books, earn a tote bag – perfect for bringing books to and from the library! (Teens and adults)
  • After reading ten (10) books, earn:
    • A swivel charger (Teens)
    • A pedometer (Adults)
  • After you’ve read ten books, keep reading! Every time you read an additional five books, you get an entry into the drawing to win our grand prize—an Exercise Your Mind tote bag filled with goodies! There will be one grand prize winner for the teen program, and one grand prize winner for the adult program.
  • Saturday, August 13, is the last day to claim your prizes!
Where can you get great reading suggestions?

Recommended Reads! Tell our librarians about your favorite  books, and they will email you a list of suggestions based on your likes and dislikes.
