Monday Makers: Paper Pom-Poms at Home

We can’t meet together for Monday Makers for May 4th, but you can still make our project — tissue paper pom-poms –– at home.  All you need is several sheets of tissue paper, a pair of scissors, and wire or string to hold the tissue paper in place.

For this project, we are going to be using CreativebugCreativebug offers more than 1000 online video workshops for arts and crafts, taught by artists and experts: everything from knitting to painting to jewelry-making, and it is available online with your Pickerington Public Library card.

To start, login to Creativebug, click on See latest classes here, and type Make tissue paper pompoms into the search box. It should be the first tutorial that pops up, and you will click on View Class to watch the tutorial with Courtney Cerruti.

We made tissue paper pom-poms as a family and cut the tissue paper into smaller pieces in order to make more than one pom-pom.  The possibilities are endless. Tag us with your #PPLatHome creations!
