Use the library’s event page to add the next Stitching in the Stacks virtual meeting to your calendar.
Did you know that the library has a monthly yarn craft group? We meet on the second Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately, we’ve been quarantined and have not been able to meet for a while.
Let’s go virtual! Starting on June 9, we’ll meet on Zoom for a 5 to 15-minute tutorial followed by our normal informal stitch and chat session. In preparation, make sure to download the free Zoom application on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
If you’re a beginner, no worries! We have expert members who can help you get started. If you’re an experienced crafter, we would happily welcome you and your expertise to the group, too.
What supplies do you need? If you’ve already started a project, have it with you for the meetup. You can work on it while chatting with the group. If you’re a beginner, just have some yarn (any size) and a crochet hook or knitting needles (any size) at the ready. That’s all you need! These supplies can be found online or at your local crafting stores at fairly affordable prices. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to pplrefstaff@pickeringtonlibrary.org.
