Customers who cannot access the Library during business hours are able to use the 24-Hour Pickup Lockers to hold their reserved materials. Lockers are available at all library locations.

Renewals:
Most Pickerington Public Library items will automatically renew three (3) times for the same length of time as the original check-out period, unless another customer has placed a hold on the item; or if the item is a Quick Pick or Mobile Hotspot.
Materials on loan from other Central Library Consortium (CLC) Libraries may automatically renew for different periods of time. Some CLC libraries do not offer automatic renewal; items from those libraries must be renewed manually, through the library website, by presenting them at the Customer Service desk at any location of the library, or by phone.
To renew materials by phone, please have your library card number and PIN ready and call the Customer Service Department at any location or the Automated Renewal line:

Requesting Items:
You can request items that are on the shelves at any Pickerington Public Library location, or place a hold on an item that is not currently available here or is available at another library in the Central Library Consortium:
- Request an item through our online catalog, which you can access at all library locations, or from home by clicking here. When you find the item you would like to request, click on the Place Request button. You will then be prompted to enter your library card number and Personal Identification Number (PIN). Select the date to activate your request (this will default to today’s date) and your pickup location, then submit your request.
- Your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number. If you have forgotten your PIN, but know your library card number, you can reset your PIN online by clicking here, and then by clicking on “Forgot Your PIN?” Your PIN will be sent to the email address on file. Staff members at both locations can also assist you in updating your PIN. Please have your library card or photo identification ready in order to reset your PIN.
If you cannot find the item you are looking for, and you would like to speak with a staff member at either location of the library, contact:
- Pickerington Main Library: 614-837-4104
- Sycamore Plaza Library: 614-837-4383
Library cardholders also have access to items in 160 public and academic libraries throughout Ohio, through SearchOHIO and OhioLINK.

Any item returned after the due date is overdue. The Pickerington Public Library is fine-free, and there are no daily fines for overdue items. However, the library does charge replacement fees for lost and/or damaged items.
Customers are permitted to check out additional items if they have overdue items on their account. They are not permitted to check out additional items if they have long overdue items on their account. Long overdue is defined as anything overdue by 21 days or longer.
When account fees reach $10.00 or more, borrowing privileges will be suspended. Privileges will be reinstated when fees are paid below $10.00.

Lost or Damaged Items:
For lost items or items damaged beyond repair, customers will be charged the replacement cost, plus a $5.00 processing fee, for each item.
When lost items are returned, replacement fees and processing fees will be waived. The library does not provide refunds for replacement or processing fees. A lost or damaged item may be replaced with an exact, new copy of the item plus the $5.00 processing fee, with the prior approval of the appropriate library manager.
